The young stallion always wandered, ever since he'd left his herd a couple years back he'd been wandering the lands ever since. Trespassing, mainly. He didn't mean it. Brazo was only young and he didn't fully understand all of this territorial stuff that bigger, stronger and smarter stallions had on the younger horses. Whenever he was chased off the territory, Brazo just kept strolling back onto them, obviously with no knowledge of being chased away again. Now after having trespassed on a small herd and been chased away, he'd came to this place. It looked strange to him; willow trees were around, he'd never seen one of those before, only the big tall pine and conifer trees. Maybe there was water around he thought, and he was absolutely parched. Brazo had been trotting for about an hour now and he'd probably gone quite a distance; in one day he tended to trot tens of miles to wherever it took him, he wasn't picky. Brazo slowed down near a tiny brook that trickled by the flared out willow trees. The young stallion let his head hang down to his front hooves and then trace across the rippling water's surface. Minuscule droplets of clear aqua pura splashed against his velvet black muzzle, entering his nares, but he didn't mind. All he wanted right now was a long drink to quench his everlasting thirst.
After he'd gotten rid of that dreadful thirst, Brazo let his big chocolate brown eyes scan the area he was in, which bore trees almost everywhere. He must've been in a forest or a dense patch of trees. These trees definitely were weird, especially when a branch brushed against his neck and shoulder, the long leaves swaying delicately. Brazo perked his big donkey's ears up and he turned his head to look at the branch; when he moved it sprung back to it's place near the top of the willow tree. He almost jumped seeing as it had twined itself around his front leg. Now he wanted to know what it was, this weird plant. Brazo lifted his head up, stretched his neck out as tall as it could go and pushed up onto his hind legs. The appaloosa stallion grasped a spindly willow branch between his teeth and pulled, only to his surprise it sprang out from his muzzle and whipped him right in the face. Brazo landed with a thump on the ground and gave an irritated snort, hanging around this brook to see if there was anybody else nearby.
