OK, so first before I really get into it, I need to explain the situation a little. We have five horses on the property and a foal off it. For reference, there is one Paso Fino mare named Nina, one Arab gelding named Sterling (Mine, can't you tell? ;D), one TrakhenerXArab mare named Dancer, one Curly mare named Ruthie, and another Curly mare named Surprise. The foal off the peroperty is a half Arab pinto named Sierra. We have four stalls and one temporary stall. My father doesn't know about Sierra (and hasn't known about her for over a year, since she is out of my pony mare whom we had bred to my trainer's stallion after she bought my pony to take off a bit of my pony's price). Nina is a "rescue" we got for one dollar, and I don't think she's going anywhere.
We are trying to sell two horses, one is just past green broke and the other is almost green broke (Surprise and Dancer, in that order). However, my mom (responsible for the selling and buying of anything equine related) has not put up any ads, or even taken pictures of Dancer. I don't even know is my mom wants to sell Dancer anyways, as she is out of her favorite Arab mare by Feuertanzer (now dead, sadly), and is her dream horse. Dancer also has my Dad's number (he trys to strong arm her, she is more of the "treat me nice and I'll treat you nice, too" kind of horse) and he thinks she's too mean and strong for my mom.
And, we also have five saddles we NEED to sell, but she hasn't taken pictures of those either. And I don't know what I'm going to do about it; I feel like I need to do something, but I can't just start going off at my mom, my parents have programed me against that. I just don't know what my dad is going to do if we can only sell one (or none), and we bring home Sierra for weaning in a month or two. He's not too happy about the five horses we have right now (he wants only three, but then why did he build four stalls!?!). Besides, I'm going off to collage in a couple of years and I'll either take both Sterling and Sierra with me or keep them at home and pay for feed. But, point is, we need to sell and she's not doing anything about it, it seems to me. It is so frustrating... Thanks for letting me vent.
