Well, genetics don't work like this: White animal + black animal = gray babies
But, I used a color calculator for horses, and unless you can give me the color of the grand sires and dams, then this is what it could be~
33% chance of chestnut 33% chance of bay 33% chance of black
So, your bay filly is correct!

Yep, Dingo is right. Chestnuts have a red gene, blacks have well, a black gene, and this combination generaly gives you a bay horse. The probability, i suppose, it a matter of how strong the gene is. But seeing as both parents only show one type of colour gene, and these genes create every other colour, well i could go on for ages explaining it all XD If you do what Dingo did, and look online, theres lots of articles on equine colour genetics. Magazines have good ones too.
Good luck!

The rest of us pretty much just make up the characteristics of the foal... I had a Grey stallion and bionica18 has a buckskin mare and their foals were black and buckskin! Just do whatever...

Well, whoever is gonna play the foal, I suppose. And you'd make the thread in the breeding and foaling log area, but a post with the foal's information.
