The herd land is where the horse lives. Your horse won't have one when you first create one, they'll have to wander around and find one.

Hey, don't worry if you don't find a herdland to join for a while, just keep posting and you will eventually get a herd, that's what happened to me, but I finally got a herd.

To make your character, go to the Creation board and scroll down and click on the Horse Creation Form.
There you will find a box with the information you need in there. Click "highlight code" and copy the highlighted information. Click the back button on your browser so you're back in the creation board, and click new thread on the right side of the board.
Paste and fill out your information in the message box and hit "post reply" when you're finished. (:
